  • Apply best clinical practices aligned with evidenced-based medicine (EBM) to improve practice gaps for the adult patient on PN in the palliative care setting.
  • Describe how to implement bioethical concepts into clinical practice by reviewing case studies to help navigate ethical dilemmas and difficult conversations.
  • Modify the PN prescription to ensure an appropriate formulation consistent with treatment goals that will mitigate complications, and not increase symptom burden.
  • Describe the clinician’s role throughout transitions of care for the patient on PN in palliative care to include end of life.
  • Describe how to develop and implement an ethical feeding task force at your facility.
